In plain words
The air touched it. Did the seed become air? An engineer invented an aeroplane. He completed the whole aeroplane. Sitting in it, he travels through the sky. What does worldly knowledge say? ‘The engineer is flying the aeroplane,’ they say. What does that mean? They say the engineer is in the aeroplane. But Vijñāna does not accept that. It says, ‘The aeroplane is in the engineer.’ The aeroplane does not create the engineer. The engineer creates the aeroplane. That is Vijñāna. To recognise what is the root and foundation is Vijñāna. To describe what faces outward is Jñāna. Though we stand in all four, Vijñāna, Prajñāna, Sujñāna and Ātmajñāna, that we are sinking in such Ajñāna is a shame even to speak of.
Īśvara means all splendour. He Himself gives Vijñāna, Prajñāna and Brahmajñāna. He Himself gives worldly knowledge too. So it is there, with the organs of knowledge at the seat of the trikūṭa. He Himself, as the form of Viṣṇu, pervades the world.
I bring My talk to a close hoping that, recognising this Satya, you will sing the glory of God from your hearts through this holy night, be blessed, and by the grace of Īśvara attain Īśvara-hood; and I bless you.
