Passage 12

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

"I know nothing other than You." We must not long at all for anything other than Him. Such Bhakti, in the three times, in the three worlds and in the three guṇas, we must spread.

"By sādhana, things come to pass on earth"

Our Bhakti of today is Bhakti in the morning, when we go into the pūjā room. By midday it turns into enjoyment. By night it turns into disease. "Satataṃ yoginaḥ", said the Bhagavad Gītā. At all times, in all three times, one must remain a yogi. One must be neither an enjoyer nor a sick man. Even if this is not possible at the start, we must make the effort needed to grow it little by little. We must give no room to discouragement because it is hard. "By sādhana, things come to pass on earth." If we keep on doing sādhana, we can surely attain. So the individuality that has taken the vow to attain the sacred principle of Prema with courage and daring, giving no room to despair, is true individuality. True Bhakti. The body is a water bubble; the mind is a mad monkey. We must not follow these two. Only when we follow our heart do we reach true divinity. Wherever one looks, consciousness is everywhere. It is from this consciousness that fills everything that humanness has come. That is why, from consciousness, conscience; from conscience, conscious. The conscious is filling our heart. From this, it flows into our heart, this conscious. So conscience is The one you think you are. Conscious is The one others think you are. Consciousness is The one you really are. We must attain this true principle. We must behold this form of Satya. We must drink this principle of Prema. With this alone is our birth fulfilled. Such a birth is a complete birth. There is no hatred in it at all. Though we wear a humanness so full of Ānanda, so full of Prema, so sweet, we are wasting our lives.
