In plain words
We must recognise that, seeing the deep faith of an innocent boy, the One who is the Ātma gave darśan in this way. This faith can achieve anything at all. Who has the authority to decide that this faith is blind faith, or that it is true faith? Everyone may think: “He's just a little boy. An innocent,” and they may look on him with all kinds of feelings, as a figure of fun. This is not blind belief. It is a steady, stainless feeling that rose from a pure heart. That is why, in the place where the boy jumped, a great holy place has now grown up there under the name Maridi Rāmanna. A temple too has been built. In time Maridi Rāmanna turned into Maidini Rāmanna.
People think that in the Kali age as well such a divine principle is not to be seen. No. No. Whatever the age, one whose faith is unmoving, stainless, selfless and steady is fit to see God anywhere, at any moment, in any place. Divinity is beyond the influence of place and time. That is why, before everything else, we must first make our faith grow. One who has no faith can achieve nothing. One who has faith can achieve everything. So if we want to attain God, we must first make secure the foundation called faith. That is why I say from time to time:
Where there is Confidence there is Love Where there is Love there is Peace Where there is Peace there is Truth Where there is Truth there is Bliss Where there is Bliss there is GOD
If you want God, Ānanda must well up in you. For Ānanda to well up in you, you must enter the path of Satya. If you are to enter the path of Satya, you must have a heart of Śānti. For a heart of Śānti to be in you, you must make the principle of Prema grow. For the principle of Prema to come, you must enter into faith. But what is our faith like today? It keeps going See-Saw. For those who have played this game, that game too comes naturally. One minute up, one minute down. Punarapi jananaṃ punarapi maraṇaṃ. That faith is born. It dies. With faiths like these that are born and die, is it possible to attain divinity, which is neither born nor dies?
