In plain words
That is what I want.
What does slave mean? When you think, "my mind, my Buddhi, my citta, my senses, my antaḥkaraṇa," you are master. Your mind, Buddhi, citta and antaḥkaraṇa are your slaves. Your instruments. Is it true or not? You imagine your mind is in your control, saying, "my mind." You are falling under the control of your mind. Then the mind is master and you are slave. I do not like that. You must keep your mind under your control. Then you become master. There is no use in strutting about, "my mind, my mind," without being master. You have fallen under the control of the mind. You have fallen under the control of the senses. You have fallen under the sway of the Buddhi. How then will you become master? You will not. You must become master. That is true humanity. That is the right principle for going from humanity to divinity.
Women must conduct themselves with the greatest care. The reason is that women are the root cause of the whole world. In everything, paired names of woman and man come up. Lakṣmī-Nārāyaṇa, Pārvatī-Parameśvara, Sītā-Rāma, Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa: everywhere the woman's name comes first. Why is that? What does woman mean? Its meaning is Prakṛti. Prakṛti and Paramātma. These are the forms of the inert and the conscious. Do not take Lakṣmī-Nārāyaṇa to mean "this" Nārāyaṇa of Lakṣmī. Lakṣmī is Prakṛti. Nārāyaṇa is the power. We take refuge in Prakṛti first. Then we attain the Paramātma. Do you see? We must recognise this inner meaning clearly. This world is the form in which Prakṛti and Paramātma are blended. All is one. The world is matter. God is the eternal, true being. Matter + being = GOD. So in every matter too there is the energy called divine power. Without divine power there is no matter. Without Matter there is no divine power. Woman means Prakṛti, so this Prakṛti must be ideal. In Prakṛti itself are the five elements. The five sheaths are there. Prakṛti itself is the support of all. So there is no use if we take refuge in Prakṛti and forget the Paramātma. Through Prakṛti we must attain the Paramātma. That is through body. That is why it was called akṣara. By akṣara you think of some letter of the alphabet. No, no. This is the joining of kṣara and akṣara. The joining of the inert and the conscious. Kṣara has one meaning. Akṣara has one meaning. Akṣara means the eternal, and kṣara means the impermanent: so people think. But in akṣara itself both the eternal and the impermanent are present. A-kṣara. A means the Ātma. Kṣara means the body. The body that perishes, being kṣara, and the imperishable Ātma, the letter a: the two joined together are akṣara. The Ātma + the perishing body: the joining of the two is akṣara. So it was said that man is the form of akṣara.
In the Bhagavad Gītā, the principle of akṣara has been taught with its inner meanings.
