In plain words
Only when a fan makes these three one is that our Ānanda.
Whatever work you do, think of it as God's work
Embodiments of Prema! You may simply do what you call bhajan, or what you call dhyāna, or what you call japa. But in My view it is a waste of time. People sit in dhyāna. They do not hold the mind still for even one second. This whole mind keeps going off somewhere or other. How much time is wasted by sitting like this without holding such a mind still! Do your own housework. Carry out your own duty. Whatever we do, we must regard it as service to God. For women too, if they have no work, there is a lot of talk. Whatever work we do, we must regard it as service to God. Say a satsaṅg is going on. We may have had no chance to go to that satsaṅg. At such a time we are doing our housework. Alas! There is no need to grieve in your mind, “I am stuck in this work, I could not join the satsaṅg.” If you look after your children and your husband in the right way, that itself is true service. They said: “Win at home, then win in the assembly.” Only when we achieve the right thing within our home can we achieve anything outside. Suppose you are sweeping the house. Forget the feeling that you are sweeping the house, and think, “I am cleansing my heart.” Suppose you are making a chapati or a puri. Then think, “I am making my heart broad”: how good that would be! Suppose you are cutting vegetables and making sambar. Think: “These vegetables are my evil qualities, kāma, krodha, mada and mātsarya; I cut them with the sword of Jñāna and cook them in the water of Prema.” Tell Me, in this way how much the feeling of God can be dedicated to every task!
Every action for the pleasure of God. Only, do not speak ill of others. We must not blame anyone. The reason is: God is in everyone. Because all our vision spreads into what is outside, the mind is becoming dirty.
