Through envy only envy grows in us. Through anger we build up only anger. Through Prema we build up only Prema. So if we want to gain this Prema, we must not take envy, hatred or anger as our support. To see the shining moon, do we take a torch, a hurricane lantern or a petromax light? It is by the moon's own light, by the moon's own light, that we can see the moon. In the same way, Kṛṣṇa is Prema in form, so we must try to reach that One who is Prema in form through Prema alone.
