In plain words
This is a moving temple. We must experience such a temple in a way that makes it worthwhile. We must develop the self-confidence that whatever we do, God is within. Without this self-confidence, living only by faith in the world, we fall prey to unrest.
If you are to build a wall, the foundation must be secure. Only then will the wall be secure. Only when the wall is secure can we put the roof on securely. Only when the roof is secure can one live in it without fear. So: self confidence foundation, self satisfaction wall, self sacrifice roof, self realisation life. What is this self? There are two kinds of self here. I is one self. The second is eye; this is the I of three letters. The I of Three letters is the body. The I of one letter is the Ātma. Ekaṃ satyaṃ vimalamacalaṃ sarvadhīsākṣibhūtaṃ. This one-letter I is in everyone. This three-letter eye some people may not have. Some have it, and still a cataract may come. Other defects of many kinds may start in it. But in everyone, yogī, bhogī, rogī, virāgī, bairāgī, the one-letter I is the same. Now I called, 'Bhagavati'. He says, 'I'. I called, 'Paksar'; he says, 'I'. I called, 'Arjun Gupta'; he says, 'I'. I called, 'Chabbar'; he says, 'I'. Bhagavati, Paksar, Chabbar, Singh: though their forms and names differ, from all of them the one answer came alike, 'I, I'. Though forms and names differ, this I is one and the same in all. This is what Vedānta says: ekaṃ sat viprā bahudhā vadanti. So the young today must try to experience unity in diversity, the oneness within the many. Only because it takes this oneness to be many has the world fallen prey to this unrest. There may be differences of this kind: Pakistan is separate, India is separate, Russia is separate, China is separate, America is separate. But all of them together are on one and the same earth, are they not? If we develop this kind of oneness, there can be no room for jealousies or angers within this diversity.
Sky is one but stars are many Nations are many but earth is one Beings are many but breath is one
If we hold to this kind of oneness, true Ānanda will spring up within us.
