Passage 15

In plain words

Now, the five senses are the prasāda of the five elements. If we develop the prasāda, purity of citta comes to us. Purity of Jñāna comes as well. We can experience divine Ānanda. So, students! The Manas cannot see by itself. It sees only through the senses. It cannot speak by itself. It speaks only through the senses. So if you keep the senses in the right state, the Manas will take shape as pure.

So you who are young, if you cannot restrain these at this very age, when the strength of the body, the strength of the Manas, spiritual strength and the strength of the senses are firm, how will you restrain them in old age? Right now we must earn God's grace in good measure. Only when the tanks are filled with water in the rainy season can all that water be used in the summer. So this is a good season for you. Within this very age you must build up the essence of grace. You must fill it into the heart. Only when you build it up now will you have the chance to make good use of it in the future. So increase your Prema for God. We must develop the breadth of feeling that God dwells in all. God never forgets His children. It is the devotee who forgets. God never leaves His devotees only devotees leave God. God never goes away from His devotees but devotees go from his God. They think it is God who goes away, but God does not go. It is the devotees who go. God does not let go. It is the devotees who let go. You are unable to recognise this truth. It is only because they are bound by worldly desires, by worldly delusions and by worldly objects that humanness is being tied down in this. So recognise your own Satya. That is the true conscience. That is your witness. If you satisfy it, your whole life is satisfied.
