In plain words
When you call, ‘Swami, come to our house’, I say, ‘Child, I will come to your house’. Beyond that, I am not coming, and you are not calling. When you call in the heart, I come in the heart itself. Yad bhāvaṃ tad bhavati. As the longing, so the feeling. As the feeling, so the fruit. So whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly. In the heart of man itself the hundred thousand nāḍīs all go out, pervading everywhere. They spread through the body. Only when a good resolve arises within the heart does the whole body too become filled with that good resolve. All of them spread out from the heart itself. Not merely the physical heart. The spiritual heart. When, in this way, we spread it with Prema, it has no birth at all. Whatever doubts each man has in his daily life, all such doubts these six brahmacārīs, seekers after knowledge, put as questions of this kind, and went on taking the right answers from the great sage Pippalāda.
The very first question. What is the cause of creation! Resolve alone is its cause. There too he explained it so that it was easily understood. Child, what is the cause of dreams? Some people: dreams come through indigestion; dreams come through thoughts, they say. Still others, that dreams come through weakness of the body. But none of these is the right cause. What is the cause of dreams? Sleep itself is the cause. Only when sleep comes does a dream come. One who does not sleep has no dream at all. So what is the cause of creation? Resolve alone is the cause. So when that seed called resolve is wiped out, there is no room at all for creation. The whole of creation too turns into the seer itself. All of it takes shape as one alone, as Ānanda alone. So he taught these students to bring their good resolves under control, little by little. Tomorrow we shall consider the fourth disciple.
The children of Sathya Sai Vidyā Vihār and Bāla Vikās have put on their make-up and are waiting to perform within a few moments; they will present a dance along with a drama. So today I am finishing with the third disciple only.
