Science is flying upward. It is flying up to the sky. But the senses are slipping downward. Is this science development? No. No. We must keep the senses under control. Man travels lakhs of miles through space, but does not go even half an inch into the depths of his heart. This is not what we must do. We must examine the heart. We must keep our own inner Ātma as witness. Only then will true humanness arise in us. Students! Bhakti and prapatti do not mean merely doing bhajans and doing pūjās, only this much. We must make the heart broad. We must develop Śānti and forbearance. We must develop sacred Prema, dear as life itself. Without Prema there is no life. So Prema is most needed.
