In plain words
It is twenty-five years since Dharmakṣetra was begun. For twenty-five years you have been listening to so many teachings. You have been doing so many sādhanas. But if each of you goes deep and enquires, has even the slightest change of mind come about within you? We must try to recognise these changes of mind. All outward rites belong to the world of Prakṛti. They belong to pravṛtti. But the Jñāna that belongs to nivṛtti we must win by deliberate effort.
All that we see in the world, all that we experience and enjoy, is only a reflection of what is within! Reflection of the inner being. Today we cannot recognise such an eternal Satya. There is no use at all. The spiritual path alone reveals the divinity that is foremost in man. This spiritual path alone brings out humanness. We must teach the path of Satya. Satya is God. For such Satya we must make every effort. This Satya is every form there is. Satya is the dwelling place of God. A life of Satya and selflessness: that is the life of Satya. This is what was called ‘the Satya of Satya’. We must experience such a life of Satya. We must experience the eternal life.
We must search out the Satya ‘Who am I?’
Śānti, Śānti. Where is Śānti? Your own form is Śānti. Your very life is Śānti. Śānti is right there with you. To try to search for Śānti in the outside world is nothing but foolishness. A man in a room keeps looking at many things. He sees all the things, but one thing he does not see. What is it? He does not see the one who is searching. Today we are searching for everything. People search, asking ‘On what path is my Śānti, in what land, in what state?’, but they do not try to search for themselves. Without searching for oneself, what use is it to search for anything else?
