So all of you must make the effort to utter the Name together, as one. Today the five elements are there in the world. Water, earth, sound, fire, air: all these have become impure. There is no pure sound. There is no pure earth. Everything has become impure. The whole Kali age has become an age of impurity. To make it holy, remembering the Name of God alone is the support for it. One small example. As the fire we light, so the smoke that rises. As the smoke, so the clouds that form. As the clouds, so the rain that falls. As the rain, so the crop that grows. As the crop, so the food we eat. As the food, so the birth we gain.
Through singing the Name of God the atmosphere is made pure
How is all our life passing today? Because in daily life we watch videos and films, the children born to us are born nothing but film children. What does that mean? It is all actions & stunts. What is the cause of this? It is the parents' own fault! In the old days, while the child was in the womb, they would tell some holy story, the story of Prahlāda, of Dhruva, of Satyavān, and the like. When Subhadrā was carrying her child, Arjuna went on telling of the Padmavyūha. At that moment Kṛṣṇa came in: ‘Arjuna! Who do you think is listening? The child in the womb is listening. Do not teach him matters of war right now,’ He said. By then Arjuna had told as far as entering the Padmavyūha. But he could not tell the way out. So later, in the war of the Kauravas and Pāṇḍavas, Abhimanyu entered the Padmavyūha but, not knowing the way to come out, gave up his life. On this, much research has been done in Russia and in America. It stands as an example that as the food is, so the life will be.
