In plain words
Where is one to seek the principle of God that is everywhere, within and without? If He were in one place somewhere, we would have to try to search for Him.
Remove our attachment and aversion, which veil divinity, and divinity becomes manifest
Where is one to seek God, who is everywhere? Then the question is: why is He who is everywhere not seen? God is there; but because He is covered by attachment and aversion, He is not visible to us. The fire is there. We neglected it. So ash came over it and covered it. Where did this ash come from? It came from the fire itself. The ash that came from the fire has covered the fire itself. The fire is not seen. What is the reason? It is covered by this ash. Remove the ash that covers it, and the fire is seen. In the same way the Divine is right within you. He is beside you, in your eyes, in your home. Remove these attachments and aversions that veil such divinity, and divinity becomes manifest. However much attachment we develop today toward worldly things, are we developing even a tiny part of it toward divinity?
The worry there is in the world over keeping sons and friends, over business and talk, the worry that ever arises over wealth, grain, enjoyment, fame and gain: that worry, for a moment, on the twin lotus feet of Nanda's son, and what worry then, O Lord, about the journey to the door of Yama's dreadful house?
However much time we waste on these worldly things, if in that time we fixed our gaze on God's lotus feet even for one moment, how fulfilled our life would be!
We must enter into good deeds and make time fruitful
Students! Time is very important. Time itself is the form of God. We must not waste even half a moment of this endless principle of time.
