Passage 1

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Prema is God; the whole world is filled with Prema. Taking the form of Prema, coming in abundance, scattering the nectar of Prema, joining all in Prema: O Avatāra of Prema! Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the thirst for Prema!

Embodiments of Prema!

Prema is like a diamond of great value. This Prema cannot stay even for a moment with the selfish. It cannot remain even half a moment where there is Ahaṅkāra. It never so much as enters where people of ostentation live. It will not even look at the face of selfishness, Ahaṅkāra and ostentation. Where is this Prema to be found? This precious diamond is found only in the kingdom of Prema. It is found only on the path of Prema. Only in the shop of Prema can we get it. It comes to us only through a heart of Prema. But then, if this whole world is filled with Prema, why is Prema not found in such Prema?

Prema is found only by the feeling that offers everything

People think of this whole world as filled with Prema, but this is not true Prema. A life tied to body, senses, Manas and Buddhi does not deserve the name of Prema. What goes with this body, these senses, this Manas and this Buddhi is only attachment, not Prema. The life of the Ātma alone is true Prema. So we must think of ourselves as beings of the Ātma; we must not live as beings of the body, beings of the senses, beings of Manas, beings of Buddhi. As long as there are body, senses, Manas and Buddhi, Ahaṅkāra and mamakāra, ostentation and selfishness cannot leave man. To gain such Prema you need not practise any japa, or dhyāna, or yoga, or yajña, or kratu.
