In plain words
Because of that, there is no disease. This scientific meaning lies embedded in the culture of the ancients. They used to mix cow-dung with water, sprinkle it in front of the house and draw muggu patterns. What is the inner meaning of this? Around our houses it is unclean. Because there is dirt, insects gather. Because of that, diseases spread; sprinkling this cow-dung water kills the insects. This too has done good scientifically. And what kinds of food do they eat at home? On festival days they make sweet dishes. Among them, the people of Kerala make many kinds of pāyasam with bananas. There is a kind of power within the banana. Some scientists will not accept it, but there is a kind of current in it. Eating pāyasam made with bananas cools all the disorders in the digestive fire. This is the inner meaning on the scientific side. And what is the inner meaning in terms of the highest truth? God is the embodiment of sweetness. ‘Nayanaṃ madhuraṃ, vacanaṃ madhuraṃ, sarvaṃ madhuraṃ. Madhurādhipate madhuraṃ madhuraṃ.’ We have given God the name ‘Embodiment of Sweetness’! Kṛṣṇa was born in Mathurā itself. That Mathurā means not merely a town, that He dwells at the level of sweetness: in honour of such an inner meaning, eating dishes full of sweetness at the festivals. Through this, sweet feelings should arise among our feelings. Neither wicked feelings nor evil thoughts should arise in us at all. In many ways they have spread and taught Emperor Bali's saṃskāras in the kingdom of Kerala.
Lineages and castes do not matter; feelings matter greatly
Emperor Bali was born in a rākṣasa line in order to establish divine feelings in the people and teach them sacred paths. His line was the rākṣasa line, but his feeling was purely divine!
