Everything comes only according to your feelings. So this is the root cause of good and ill fortune. So first of all we must become fortunate. If we want to become fortunate, we must have good qualities, rich in character. Only to one who has such qualities do those fine blessings come. Only such a virtuous man performs good actions. What actions? Sarvakarma bhagavatprītyartham. Whatever actions we do, we must go on regarding them only as God's work. In such a man only good saṅkalpas arise. Wicked saṅkalpas do not come near. Keeping the feeling of God in our hearts, we must go on doing these worldly actions rightly.

He had studied Sanskrit well. He went on writing many ślokas in Sanskrit. He wished that, if he were to be born again, he would be born in Bhārata. He thought that if he could put even this much of the soil of Bhārata on his head, he would be fortunate. This officer went to see Max Muller, a man of such intent and such eagerness. He sent his visiting card inside. At that moment Max Muller was pondering the meaning of a verse. He looked at the card. This man's name was Caturveda Śāstri. Max Muller was very happy. He told the servant to make two cups of coffee. ‘I do not know even one Veda. Here is Caturveda Śāstri, one who knows the four Vedas, come to me: how fortunate I am!’ he thought. At the very name Max Muller was happy. At once he brought him inside. He seated him and gave him coffee.
