Passage 8

In plain words

Everything is sweet. But after they cross out of here, falling under the atmosphere of the world, a disease starts in them. What is it? The diseases called worldly desires come. The moment these diseases called worldly desires enter, spirituality moves far away. They fall into all kinds of misconceptions about spirituality. Then there is no cure at all for that disease. There is a cure for cancer, but for hatred of God there is no cure at all. Is it a lack of learning? Or a lack of feeling? Rāvaṇa studied the 64 branches of learning. He was great, rich in tapas. Wealthy, mighty. He had everything. But because the two, lust and anger, entered, he became a slave to everything

He who is a slave to desire is, to the whole world, a slave himself, is he not! To one who has conquered desire the world is ever a slave.

If one becomes a slave to desire, he becomes a slave to the world itself. If he becomes a slave to God alone, the world itself becomes his slave. So we must not forget God. Vedānta has given three, bundles of gems. Do not trust the world. Do not forget God. Do not fear death. We must hold these three with great faith. What are they? Do not trust the world; for it is changing from moment to moment. Do not let go of God. Do not fear death. If you fear it, will it let you go? It shows kinship to no one. It is just what it is, by itself. In the language of Vedānta, we must regard these three as most important.

The principle of God is everywhere

To think, ‘God is somewhere, in some place, in some spot, and only there will we see Him,’ is madness. Everywhere is the principle of God. There is no place where it is not.
