In plain words
‘Whether on the bull or on the eagle, the two are one, brother!’ He taught that from this day on they should recognise the sameness which says the two are one. In the same way, in the world, some people like Rāma, some like Kṛṣṇa, some like Sai Bābā. Why these differences? God is one alone! ‘Ekaṃ sat, ekohaṃ bahusyāṃ.’ Barfi, mithai, palkova: however many you make, the sugar is one and the same! For your own taste you imagine for yourself so many kinds of forms and names. But God is one alone! Once you develop the feeling of the one Ātma, you become one with God.
Contemplate God Without Ceasing and Attain Divinity Itself
Students! Embodiments of the Divine Ātma! Never think that God is somewhere far away. Give up the mad notion that He will appear before you if you worship Him. Hold the firm faith, ‘He is I, I am He.’ Offer yourself up to that God! Easily, in a snap of the fingers, it is all done! You need not go through any great exercise. You need not draw up a 5 yrs plan, a 10 yrs plan. All these plans are a waste. Do not make efforts for these master plans. Offer your mastership to Him. That is the true principle. God is the only master. In the world no one is master. There are Head-masters. There are Stationmasters. There are Postmasters. None of them is master. There is only one master. He alone is God! Contemplate God without ceasing and attain that Divinity itself. That is Satya. Truth is GOD. That is Jñāna. That is God. The Infinite One alone is God. If one keeps teaching, every single day, a Vedānta that is beyond the senses, beyond measure and infinite, small children may find it somewhat distasteful. Only when we tell men stories of human ideals can humanness enter into divinity. From tomorrow I intend to speak, one after another, of the founders of the faiths, Ādi Śaṅkara, Rāmānuja, Madhvācārya and others like them: of what concerns them, their life stories and the sacred supreme goal they achieved.
