In plain words
Only then will we have the fitting fruit. Only when we hold to a fierce sense of Vairāgya will the Divine arise in us. This is true, true, true! Śaṅkara's Vairāgya went on doing the world great good. The paṇḍitas are all teaching the Advaita doctrine, but not one of them lives that way. Merely teaching it with words is not enough; we must practise it with the body. The spirit of tyāga must come into the mind. That is true Vairāgya. It comes only with Satyaṃ jñānam anantaṃ. God is Satya, Jñāna is Satya; everything is passing. So, Satyaṃ jñānam anantaṃ is the Brahma-tattva.
