In plain words
Service to the village is service to Rāma, be sure of it; the kingdom of Rāma is filled with Prema; without Prema the world cannot be lifted up; so serve, and thrive.
Students, embodiments of Prema!
Service to the village is what inspires man and fills him with zest! The villages are an inner part of the towns. When the villages, being such an inner part, are thriving, the towns too thrive. Without the blossom no green fruit forms on the tree; without the green fruit no ripe fruit will come. Without villages, towns do not come to be. Today, in our Bhārata, in the south, we think of Madras as a great city. But in earlier days it was just a village! Its name was ‘Chennappa Palle’. Little by little it took shape as a great city. In the same way, Bangalore too was a very small village. Its name was Belagāḷ. That is, the people of this place lived by selling roasted groundnuts. Little by little it became Bangalore. We need not go that far. Our Puttaparthi was a tiny hamlet. Only two hundred people in all used to live there. Today this village has become a great town, and they have gone on showing it on the map of the world as a town apart.
The morality and honesty of the villages are not to be seen in the towns
In this way individuality too turns into divinity, through growth alone.
