In plain words
God is the cause, the world is the effect
Embodiments of Prema! The true embodiment of Prema is the mother alone! We must make a fitting effort to gain that mother's Prema. We must make a fitting effort to recognise the mother's wish. We must make a fitting effort to satisfy her. That is the chief duty of every child born. Every man must honour the mother. That is the chief worship. That is the true adoration. That is the true vrata. This is the tapas that Bhāratīyas have gone on doing from time without beginning! In this very tapas our sweet life is contained. A life so very sweet. ‘Vacanaṃ madhuraṃ, śravaṇaṃ madhuraṃ, hṛdayaṃ madhuraṃ, hastaṃ madhuraṃ, sarvaṃ madhuraṃ, madhurātipate madhuraṃ madhuraṃ.’ We must set all our limbs on the sweet path. Those are the fitting marks of the nature of Mādhava. There are bulbs; is it the bulb that shines? No, no. The current within it alone makes the bulb shine. The fan is turning; is it the fan that gives us air? No, the current flows through the fan and gives us cool air. This whole world is merely negative, inert. In it God, who is all-powerful, takes shape as consciousness and goes on sustaining everything. The very embodiment of consciousness is God. The path of consciousness is God. God is the cause, the world is the effect. This creation is the bond of cause and effect itself. Only when this negative and positive both join does the current work.
Though forms and names differ, the Prema in all men is one!
Embodiments of Prema! Since he is born a man, man must love all mankind. What is the reason? What is in all is the one divinity alone! With this in view, the Upaniṣads said, ‘Īśvaras sarvabhūtānāṃ.’ Bodies may be many and different. Forms and names may differ. But the embodiment of Prema in all is one! That is the embodiment of consciousness. But through the delusion of the body we develop all these distorted qualities and forget the true Satya-svarūpa.
