It is God's own gift of grace! MS Subbulakshmi is here. From the beginning her heart has turned sweet with song. This is not something that comes to everyone by practice. It is a gift received with the heart, through the grace of God! Doing bhajan in an outward way, you can give Ānanda to ten people. Instead, pray within yourself! It makes the heart sweet. Carry out all actions with Prema. Whatever you do, regard it as the Prema of God! Suppose something bad has come to you! This too is God's prasāda! Malaria fever has come upon you. To cure malaria fever, you must take a bitter medicine called quinine. Though it is bitter and not sweet, it does bring the fever down. In the world, even if feelings against you come your way, they too bring only good. Even a true diamond gains its value only when it is cut. Even good gold becomes a beautiful jewel only when it is put in the fire, burnt, melted and beaten with a hammer. For man, hardships, sorrows and losses are only for good! We must believe, ‘Whatever comes, it is all for my good.’ That is true oneness.
Make the heart full of Prema!
Embodiments of Prema! This body has reached 71 years. What is the body? ‘The body is made of the five elements; the body must fall some day.’ Take as your support the principle of Prema that has come from the body. My whole life is full of Prema! I have never caused anyone any kind of pain at any time. I have done harm to no one. I have hated no one. No one is My enemy. What is the reason? My Prema itself brings about this change. This body is 71 years old today. I act as though I am angry for the sake of the work, but My anger is not from the heart; it comes only from the tongue! From the nail of My toe to the hair of My head, it is all Prema! Through this Prema alone Swami's fame has gone on spreading through the whole world.
