In plain words

“Everyone tells Swami, ‘We are devotees, we are devotees.’ But who are devotees and who are only out to feed themselves, we cannot tell. A perfect devotee is ready for anything at Your command. But some go on making a show of Bhakti for selfish ends. Yet they get their wishes fulfilled from You. Afterwards they forget You. In this matter You must be careful,” she said. I told her, “I know how to take care of Myself. You need not tell Me,” I said. Smiling to herself, she went back. I give you these direct proofs to show what a mother's Prema is like. She left only her body, but her life is ever with Swami alone. “For You I kept so many vratas. So many pūjās I performed. The fruit of my pūjā has ripened. I was with You for forty years. This itself is my blessedness. This alone is the real property,” she said.

Now, the grandfather of this body was Kondamaraju. He was just the same. He had four sons. This body was born to Pedda Venkamaraju. The second one's name was Chinna Venkamaraju. The third one's name was Subbaraju. The fourth son's name was Venkatramaraju. While these four were there, because there came to be many children, they set about trying for their shares. This body was eight years old then. These four sons put a question to Kondamaraju. “At this age it is not good for you to live apart. Stay five months with each son in turn,” they said. He spoke. “I need none of you. All of you, take the property. Just leave one property for me,” he said. “Which one do you want?” they asked. “Give me Sathya; that is enough,” he said. If Sathya is with me, it is as good as having everything. From then on I stayed right with Kondamaraju. He lived 112 years. He was a great devotee. Such a devotee recognised well the truth about Me. My ninth year was beginning. No one was there then. He went and shut the door. I was cooking. Cooking for him was My work. I know cooking very well.
