Passage 10

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

To those who speak of Ānanda we must give boundless Ānanda. We must never give them discouragement instead. We must not leave them bewildered. Divine feelings come through the merit of who knows how many births. So what we call divinity belongs to a pure heart, and to that alone. All the rest besides are passing clouds. They keep coming, they keep going. None of them is real. None of them lasts for ever. All are impermanent; they come, they go. But the one thing that comes and grows is divinity alone. Worldly things come and go. Divinity alone comes and grows. Today we must hold that divinity sacred.

He Alone Is a Buddhist Who Has Set His Buddhi Right

Embodiments of Prema! You have come here from so very far away. You have come to experience the Ānanda of this Buddha Pūrṇimā. You need not have come here. Buddha means the very form of your own Buddhi! So we must set that Buddhi on the right path. Only when we set that Buddhi on the right path does the word Buddhist become meaningful. Doing nothing but sādhanas, sādhanas, sādhanas, we are wasting our time through sādhanas alone. All of this is waste of time. Develop pure feelings. What is true sādhana? To drive away wicked qualities and to grow good qualities: that alone is sādhana. So whatever holy place you go to, give up your bad qualities. Grow the pure feelings you find there. Man must grow those divine feelings, those noble feelings.
