In plain words
This Ahaṅkāra must be rooted out. To think “my body” is a mamakāra.
Vision and Creation
Embodiments of Prema! Ahaṅkāra and mamakāra are themselves the root cause of all bad qualities. All bad qualities come only through these two. The day you drive these two away, that very day you become the embodiment of God. Because the one called William greeted everyone with Prema, Lord Brights went on believing him to be the embodiment of God. What does that mean? We must speak with Prema. We must live with Satya. We must live with Śānti. Only then do we become embodiments of God. You cann't always oblige, but you can always speak obligingly. If we develop humanness with a mind like this, it takes shape as nothing less than divinity. So man is a mānava only in his outward form; in truth he is Mādhava Himself. “Raso vai saḥ”: God is there like the sugar in a sweet drink. Man is the sweet drink. The sugar is his very heart. Without it he is not man at all. So every person is truly the embodiment of God. Do not make distinctions, saying God is here, God is there. Whoever you see, think of them as equal to God. “Sarvaṃ khalvidaṃ Brahma, Īśvaraḥ sarva bhūtānaṃ, Īśāvāsyamidaṃ sarvaṃ”: wherever you look, it is God alone who is there. How does that become our experience? We must develop Prema. If you put black glasses over your eyes, everything looks only black. If you put red glasses over your eyes, everything looks only red. Put the glasses of Prema over your eyes, and everything will look like nothing but Prema. But when the glasses are one thing and the eyes another, a mistake comes about. Glasses are things that stand in the way of sight. Anil Kumar has put glasses over his eyes. The glasses stand in front of his eyes, yet they help his sight. You must wear glasses that help your own sight. What is our sight? The sight of Prema. The feeling of God. We must wear only the glasses that suit that feeling of God. If we wear glasses that go against it, even the sight we have will go.
