Passage 16

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Why do these delusions come in this way?’ So, seeing the fourteen worlds in His mouth, the poor woman was lost in bewilderment. Even seeing with her own eyes, she could not believe it. What is the root cause of this? Vātsalya itself: my son, my son. This attachment bound to the body is the root cause of so many doubts.

No One Who Trusted Has Come to Ruin

Ātma attachment is what we need. When the Ātma becomes one in the Ātma, all becomes one. Such a bond of the Ātma with the Ātma is itself spirituality. What belongs to the body is only physical. The one who wiped away many doubts like these, spread divinity, and gave people the vision of purity was Kṛṣṇa. Though all the Avatāras are indeed divine, He, smiling, smiling, smiling all the time, went on offering His life. Through Prema alone He went on offering it. In no situation whatever was there any anger at all. Always a smile, a smile. This is the chief mark of God. Such sacred qualities are seen only now. In no Avatāra were they seen. Though in all the Avatāras that divinity is one and the same, they acted in keeping with the force of particular circumstances. But we must believe in divinity with all our heart. In whatever way you believe in yourself, in that way you must believe in God. Faith in yourself and faith in God. This is the secret of greatness. Just as you believe in yourself, so you must believe in God. You yourself are God; God Himself is you. Why do you give room to all these doubts? This doubt will destroy your very body. So drive doubts far away. Root out suspicions. Develop the principle of Prema. Enter the path of Satya. Experience the divine principle. This itself is true sādhana. This itself is true spirituality.
