In plain words

So I must give my mother the service she deserves. I did not come to the country to earn money. In every matter students must take up sacrifice of that kind. We must never forget our loyalty to the country. Today students have no bond at all with this nation. They must recognise this principle of nationality. What a state we are in! What is the reason this country has changed like this? What is the right way for it to come back to the right state? The sacredness of ancient Bhārata must be brought back today. What must we do for this? Joining with others and entering society, we must serve the whole world through service to society. We must take part in service to society. We must go to the little villages. First of all, whatever hardships they have, we must do the services that meet them. It is hard for those villagers to buy vegetables. Today the price of vegetables has gone up. At the houses of those who live in little houses, we must plant one drumstick tree each. With the drumsticks and the drumstick leaves they can cook their curry. And if there is still any room at all, plant a coconut tree. A curry-leaf tree. If there is this curry-leaf tree, they need not go anywhere to buy it. These three give good protein and iron. Giving them these, if they have children who study, we must teach them too. We must bathe the children who are unclean and give them the health they need. Now Sanitary condition in the villages has gone very bad. We must show them some way. We must dig pits behind their houses, lay stones and show them some arrangement for the time being. If there is no water, we must dig wells and provide water. What all our children must do today is service to society, service to society. That alone is true education. That is the very essence of education. This body is for the good of others. This body has been given. It is for the good of others alone. It is not for you to fatten your body and sit back happily. Using this body God has given for the people of society, and rendering service, we must sanctify our blood. If all those in our educational institutions take part in services like these, the country will progress beyond measure.
