Passage 10

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

He has come as one who proves the truth that He is the child of God. Another king said, ‘no, no. son and father are one.’ This is what the Arabian kings said. Taking this as their basis, they wrote it in the Bible. Jesus never had any Ahaṅkāra at all. Jesus was one who showered the nectar of compassion when He saw those who suffer. His heart was full of compassion alone. But on some occasions He did try to face criticism. From the very beginning Paul spoke against Jesus. But after some time had passed, Jesus went into Paul's dream: ‘Paul! What wrong have I done you? What suffering have I caused you? Why do you criticise Me so?’ When He asked this, Paul thought, ‘This is my delusion alone, my fault alone, my Ahaṅkāra alone, my Ajñāna alone,’ and became a devotee of Jesus. In every age, in the time of every great soul, resolves of this kind go on taking place. There are many people who take good for bad and bad for good. It was only after that that Paul changed. Then he came to be called Saint Paul. In this way, if you understand in the right way some of the true sayings in the Bible, there is no fault at all in Jesus. Jesus was one who wished to lead everyone onto the path of God. But at the very end, when He was being put on the cross, He prayed. ‘Oh! Father! What wrong have I done? Why do You punish Me like this?’ He asked. What is the inner meaning of this? We can take the meaning that He was the child of God and God the Father. But He did not say, ‘I am God,’ nor did He say, ‘I am messenger.’ He did not say, ‘I am son of God.’ Nor did He say, ‘I and My Father are one.’ He said none of it. In the words He spoke, so that mankind might understand, He went on thinking of Himself as the child and of God as the Father. After He was nailed to the cross, His mother Mary came and wept. Then a voice was heard from the sky: "All are one My dear son, be alike to every one": Jesus was the one who recognised the unity of all well and declared it. When we inquire on this basis, it has become clear to us that He was the child of God and God was His Father.
