In plain words
With that very faith you must see Satya, attain Śānti and experience Ānanda. Only when you believe, “This is my mother,” can you love your mother. So, where there is faith, there is Prema. Where there is Prema, there is Śānti. Where there is Śānti, there is Satya. Where there is Satya, there is Ānanda. Where there is Ānanda, there is God.
So first of all you must foster faith. Only when there is faith is divinity attained. The foundation that is not seen is the very support of the building that is seen. In the same way, self-confidence is the foundation of the mansion of life. Only when there is Self-confidence does Self-satisfaction come. Only when self-satisfaction has come can you make Self-sacrifice. Only when you make self-sacrifice does Self-realisation come. Self-confidence: Foundation; self-satisfaction: Walls; self-sacrifice: Roof; self-realisation: Life. When self-realisation comes, the truth “I alone am all” becomes clear. For self-realisation, self-confidence is most essential. But man today has lost self-confidence. He who has lost self-confidence becomes one who has lost everything.
“Sahasra śīrṣā puruṣaḥ...”
The five elements, forms of God, are in man himself. So man himself is God. God has no particular form. But man fashions many forms for God and worships Him. Today they have set up an image of Dakṣiṇāmūrti here. It is only a picture of the imagination, not a picture of direct vision. God is the form of the universe. “Sahasra śīrṣā puruṣaḥ sahasrākṣaḥ sahasra pāt”: all heads, all eyes, all feet are Paramātma's. The heart of everyone is Paramātma's alone. But through identifying with the body you cannot recognise this truth, and you think, “We are human beings.” In shape you are human beings, but in truth you are the very embodiments of God.
Develop the faith, “Ahaṃ brahmāsmi” (I myself am God). When you say, “This is my handkerchief,” the I is one thing and the handkerchief another.
