In plain words

“Do not be hasty. I said that to test you. I will certainly build the school as you wish,” I told her. On the very next day I laid the foundation. In a very short time a school stood ready here. I put all the children into that school. I asked Easwaramma, “Are you content now?” “I am a little content, but there is one more wish, Swami!” she said. “What is it?” I asked.

“Swami! In our village, when the children catch a cold, a cough or a fever, their mothers have to carry them to Bukkapatnam. I fear what may become of those children before they reach Bukkapatnam. So please have a small hospital built here,” she asked. At once I had a small hospital built. In this way Easwaramma longed for everyone to be happy and glad. “Swami! It is not enough for these amenities to be in our village alone. We must provide them for the people of all the villages; we must bring happiness to everyone in the world,” she would keep saying. Not only her own children and her own people: she longed for everyone to be happy. Only through such ideal mothers has Bhārata won so much renown from time without beginning.

Once I took Easwaramma to Brindavan for the Summer Course. At that time I invited not only our college students but students from all the states. I invited people from abroad as well. As I gave good teachings to them all, Easwaramma rejoiced greatly. If I asked, “Are you happy now?”, she would reply, “When so many students are being set right, what more joy could I want, Swami!” One morning all the children had finished their tiffin. Easwaramma too ate a little tiffin and sat down. At that time I was upstairs. All of a sudden, “Swami! Swami! Swami!” she called, three times. From above I said, “I am coming, I am coming, do not go.” Gokak was right there. He looked on in wonder: “What is this, Swami is talking like this!” I came down at once.
