In plain words

That indweller is the God of gods. Though bodies change, we must try to keep the indweller steady, without changing it. The steady, pure, selfless principle of Prema is the very svarūpa of the indweller. So I hope that you will strive to attain that svarūpa of the indweller. I hope that in every class you will gain higher education in the very best grade and take shape as students who are an example to the world.

We sent two children to America. Śrīrām Paraśurām, Pravīṇa. Rāmśeṭṭi is a great doctor. A man who lives by sacrifice. A man who lives by yoga. Though he has wealth in crores, he does not keep a single naya paisa for himself. Sacrifice, sacrifice.. He keeps those children with him and looks after them. Those children are children of our college. How far America is from Puttaparthi! Children who went out from the little village of Puttaparthi have been proclaiming in America the principle of our school. Each of them got 95% marks. The teachers there were greatly astonished. How learned these little children from India are! Their Bhakti and their surrender to God are great too. To bring such a good name to Swami in return for having studied here: that is the true offering to Me. Swami asks for nothing. He expects nothing. What matters most is that you earn a good name. In America they have earned a good name. “If children as exemplary as these come, we shall be glad”: so the teachers there praised them. You too, go round the lands and come back. Not going off on picnics and coming back. You must set an example, proclaim it to all, teach the principle of Prema, make it put out shoots, and share joy with everyone. That is the true principle of Prema. So make that Prema grow with all your heart. Whatever else you lack, if you have Prema alone, it is enough. If it is pure, steady and selfless, Swami will always be bound by it.

A 12th-class student said, ‘For three years Swami has not looked at my face. Father came, and He did not speak’. What need is there to speak? I am doing what has to be done. I saw to it that he got a seat in medicine. He is studying in his second year. They did not tell Me. But I am doing everything. If I do not speak, what is lost? Nothing. But you too must make the right effort. You must strive to come close to Swami, to speak with Swami, to gain Swami’s Prema, to experience Swami’s Ānanda. If you do not make that effort, what is the use of being here? So, since you have come here, I hope that you will share that Prema, keep that Prema in your hearts and reach out to the world with it; and, blessing you and asking you to give your parents the joy that is their due, I bring My talk to a close.
