In plain words
Embodiments of Prema! The Rāmāyaṇa, the Bhāgavata and the Bhārata are full of very sacred inner meanings. Children today read silly novels and stories, but do not read our sacred ancient histories. Worldly stories cannot remove our sorrows at all. Only the stories of God show us the divine path. His story is History. You must read that. However much else you read, it is of no use. Vināyaka's story is full of great inner meaning. On this festival day students place their textbooks before Vināyaka and worship. Students must worship Vināyaka to gain the knowledge that concerns God. The principle of Vināyaka is very special. In Vināyaka there is nothing but grace, no wrath.
Our boys, an example to all
Our boys who work in the Sathya Sai Central Trust are holding a special programme today from 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Having joined the Sathya Sai Central Trust, they are doing all the work. For the past 30 years some elders have borne responsibility in it and kept working there. All this time I too have been looking after the work connected with the Trust. But since our boys took up these posts, I have no worry about anything. The boys are working that well. Go and see the Book Stall, go and see the Accommodation Office... Go and see any office at all... All of them set a fine example. They speak good words; they speak with love. They show anger to no one. The boys are putting the divine saying Help Ever, Hurt Never into practice to the letter. In the programme this afternoon they will tell you many good things. Truly, every person must hear what our boys say. They are words spoken from their own experience. Our boys do not tell an untruth even in jest. To look at, they seem boys, but they alone are doing all the work in our Trust.
