In plain words

So we must go on carrying through what we have taken hold of. This Ati Rudra Mahā Yajña must be held many times in the days to come. It belongs to everyone. It does not belong to one caste, to one religion or to one country. It belongs to the whole world. If you go on performing this yajña again and again, everyone the whole world over will very soon become one. Pakistan, Afghanistan, Japan, America, Germany: all will become one. There are now very great devotees in America. There are many ṛtviks there too. There are Muslims too. A woman wrote a book about Swami. She took that book and gave it to her guru in America. When he saw it, he shed streams of tears. ‘May such good fortune come to me too,’ he prayed. Now they are printing that book and giving it to everyone there.

We must make the whole country one. We must see unity in diversity. Look how many kinds of division are arising in our own Bhārata! The Madras State, which was one before, has turned into two. Tamil Nadu and Andhra. Not only that: an agitation has begun for still more new states. Breaking things into pieces like this is no greatness. Joining them into one is a very great thing. Where there is unity, there is purity. Where there is purity, there is divinity. So we must make the effort that unity calls for. Among the children who recited the Veda yesterday there was a Russian boy, and there were Americans. There was an Iranian boy too. You must recognise unity of this kind and foster it. If there is any sense of difference in all of you, however small, take it out and throw it away at once. Be one. All must live together in harmony as brothers and sisters. Only then will you have the worth that befits you.
