In plain words
Rāma Himself will protect Lakṣmaṇa. Do not be anxious at all,” she said. Lakṣmaṇa's wife Ūrmilā came there too. On hearing the news that Lakṣmaṇa had fallen senseless, she too was not anxious in the least. She stayed brave, sure that no harm of any kind would befall Lakṣmaṇa, who was in Rāma's service. As great as Sītā is, so great is Ūrmilā too. When Lakṣmaṇa was setting out for the forest with Rāma, she did not grieve in the least. Rejoicing greatly that her husband was granted the good fortune of serving Rāma: “My lord! Do not waste time thinking about me. Do not neglect Rāma's service in the least. Be ever absorbed in Rāma's service,” she said. Sumitrā, Ūrmilā: all of these were great women. Rāma, Lakṣmaṇa, Bharata and Śatrughna came through safe only because they listened to the words of all of these.
Hearing from Hanumān all that had happened, Bharata: “Hanumān! Forgive my mistake. It is not right to keep you standing at this time. Take the Sañjīvinī mountain and go quickly,” he commanded. Hanumān bowed to Bharata, said, “We shall conquer Rāvaṇa very soon and come back to Ayodhyā,” and set out. Bharata joyfully had this news proclaimed to the people in Ayodhyā. “The news of the welfare of Sītā, Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa, which we have not known all this time, has reached us today through Hanumān!” So everyone in Ayodhyā rejoiced.
The moment the herbs Hanumān had carried were applied, Lakṣmaṇa rose and sat up. All together they talked it over: how were they to conquer Rāvaṇa? After his son Meghanāda too had died in the battle, Rāvaṇa himself came out to fight. On Vibhīṣaṇa's advice Rāma, with a single arrow, dried up the pot of nectar in Rāvaṇa's navel and slew him.
Hanumān gave Sītā the news of Rāvaṇa's death. Śrī Rāma called Aṅgada, Vibhīṣaṇa and the others and commanded them to go with Hanumān and bring Sītā to his side with honour and respect.
