The sandalwood among the scrub

कबीर चंदन का बिरवा भला बेड़िहओ ढाक पलास ॥ओइ भी चंदनु होइ रहे बसे जु चंदन पासि ॥ ११ ॥*kabīra caṁdana kā biravā bhalā bēṛihaō ḍhāka palāsa ॥**ōi bhī caṁdanu hōi rahē basē ju caṁdana pāsi ॥ 11 ॥*

In plain words

Kabīr, the young sandalwood tree is good, though ḍhāk and palās crowd it round. They too have turned to sandalwood, the ones who live beside the sandalwood. *ḍhāk* and *palās*, ordinary scrub of the plains, with no scent of their own.
