Sulabhā

Sulabhā was a woman of a royal line who found no husband fit for her, and who wandered the earth alone as a mendicant, keeping the discipline of yoga. She heard everywhere that King Janaka of Mithilā was free, and doubted it. So she went to his court, entered his mind by the power of yoga, and let him speak. He boasted of his freedom and then laid charge after charge against her. She answered him point by point, before all his ministers and learned men, until the king had nothing more to say.
