In plain words
“Of the appearance of class” means of class whose form is what appears. The constructions that grasp it do not, as with relation, rest only on oneness of form inside and manyness of form outside. Rather, they make their support even the lack of oneness outside, marked by the difference of individuals, and, outside as well, the oneness whose form is being threaded through them. For in the appearing “cows” the individuals shine outside, set apart, and that is why the plural is used; and their body, running through them all, shines too, since a of the one meaning of the nominal stem follows along them. And both of these are outside, since one points with a finger: “these”. Only, even being outside holds while it stays within the that is the highest truth; so difference and non-difference are no fault there, as in an awareness of many colours. By this the contradiction in a substance as well, red and not red and the like, has been met. But the inner oneness, by way of relation, is everywhere just as it was there. In the same way, the constructions that grasp the substance that is a whole, appearing as “pot”, do not have one and many for their content only by being inside and outside, as with relation. Rather, even outside, they take it as one, in that it has no joint or seam, and as divided, by way of its portions, which are its parts. For “pot” shines as one solid mass with no joint or seam, and as spread out in form.
The joining together of the factors of action is the content of the of action. The thought of direction and the rest rests on the connection of being a limit and having a limit.
