In plain words

Hemmed in at every moment by body, prāṇa, pleasure and the like, people do not perceive this citi, their own, belonging to the Great Lord, dense with full ānanda. But whoever, through the teaching, sees the universe all around, in the midst of the ocean of the nectar of awakening, as like a mass of its foam, is declared to be Śiva himself, the One, directly. For those on whom Śaṃkara's śaktipāta has fallen, who, being unpractised, are not fit for sharp reasonings and are not able to know the Īśvarapratyabhijñā, this teaching on reality has been spoken. Here ends the Pratyabhijñāhṛdayam. The work of the venerable Rājānaka Kṣemarāja, the teacher, who lives at the lotus feet of the honoured Abhinavagupta, best of teachers and great devotee of Maheśvara. May it be auspicious.
