In plain words

Knowledge is food. And for him: The knowledge that was earlier called bondage, in "Knowledge is bondage", is food for yogins, because it is eaten, devoured. As was cited before in agreement: "Death and time, the whole array of kalās, the mass of changes, all that is native to experience, the whole brood of conjectures of oneness and of manyness: then he swallows it all." Or again, the knowledge that is reflective awareness of one's own nature is his food, because it brings full and complete satisfaction and so is the cause of resting in one's own Self. As the Vijñānabhairava says: "For one established in any one of these methods, what arises here day after day is the state of being filled to the brim: satisfaction here, and utter fullness." For the method there is nothing other than the knowledge of the hundred and twelve stages. And this is gathered up in the Spanda by the verse: "Let him remain always awake …"
