Like a great earthquake, this is becoming the cause of unrest in the whole world. If we take up trust, Prema, goodwill, friendship and a calm full of Viveka, well-being will come. We must make trust in one another firm. We must also build up faith in ourselves. We must push away misunderstandings, fears and confusions. Without Śānti in the individual, there is no Śānti in the family. Without Śānti in the family, there is no Śānti in the villages. Without Śānti in the villages, how can the state have Śānti? If the states are writhing in unrest, world Śānti is a mere lie. So the individual must have firm faith in himself, in the power of the Ātma within him, and in the Paramātma shining in everyone. Then an unshakeable Śānti settles in the heart. That itself is the great sādhana. Though you work in the midst of machines, your life will become full of mantra.
