Passage 12

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

When we want our citta to become such a sacred mirror, it comes to us through these two: Prema, and Bhakti joined with śraddhā. So, having fostered such sacred Prema, the Gopīs, Jayadeva and Gaurāṅga, the very moment they uttered ‘Kṛṣṇā’, would forget their own bodies and fall to the ground. Now, Gaurāṅga means one who is fair in colour, so the name given him was Gaurāṅga. But the very moment he uttered the Name of Kṛṣṇa, he would collapse to the ground, absorbed in rapture. Because at ‘Kṛṣṇā’ he would fall down with no caitanya left in him, Gaurāṅga came to be called by the name Kṛṣṇa Caitanya. We must set about developing the divinity that, through Prema, forgets even our own body. This itself will be the fitting sign of equality. So every one of you, whoever you look upon, develop step by step the faith that your chosen God Himself dwells in all beings. Since it cannot be made strong all at once, I hope you will develop such equality through practice.
