Their sole purpose was to take their own lives and merge them with the infinite ocean of love. So long as we hold a drop of water in the palm of our hand, it remains a drop of water; but if we take this drop of water and mix it with the ocean, then there is no more a drop of water, as it loses its individuality and merges with the ocean. Thus, the tried to take their individual drops of and merge them with the infinite ocean of of the Lord. What better objective can there be beyond wanting to merge with the Lord?
