In plain words
Only when we are an example in this way will the students, quite naturally, never hang back from following us. Teachers are like a water tank. Students are like the taps. Whatever feelings we fill up within the teachers, those same feelings flow out through these taps called students. So if there are any faults in the students, we may say they are nothing but the teachers' faults. When those problems are resolved in time, enthusiasm and encouragement grow greatly, both for the teacher and for the students.
Teachers must understand the students' problems with calm and forbearance
Truly, the students who have joined our Institute are very pure of heart, clear of mind and selfless. We will not find such students in any other institution. In other institutions, the teachers grow heated at the sight of the students, and the students at the sight of the teachers. Whatever student one sees outside, one sees only faces full of passion and agitation. Calm faces are seen nowhere. What is the reason? What is in one's heart is reflected in one's face. Good or bad, it shows in our faces. What is in the heart is reflected in the face as in a mirror. The faces of the students in our institutions are always dancing with smiles. We must recognise such moments rightly and conduct ourselves properly before them. We must take care not to stand in the way of their joy, their aspirations or their enthusiasm in the least. Students may have some weaknesses. They are young. They have no experience. Not knowing the matter, they are unable to develop Viveka. They are not in the least acquainted with humility and obedience. So it is no wonder at all that such children have some faults.
