In plain words
We must grow the crop of Satya. We must grow the crop of Dharma. We must grow the crop of Śānti. That is the crop we must grow in our heart. We must give this crop to many people.
This life of ours is like a lump of ice. It goes on melting moment by moment. Before it melts away we must share it out among others. We have begun that very state of sharing out today, calling it education in human values. Many may have many misconceptions about this. There is no need to give these arguments and counter-arguments any place at all. This is the form of Satya that every human being must attain. In this, staying as companions to one another, in mutual harmony and unity, we must give it to the world in the right way. Even while everyday experience is present in this, we must keep the true experience as the goal. Truth is one; the wise speak of it in many ways. You must recognise the truth that there is one thing that is the basis of all. Sathya Sai Seva Samiti, Sathya Sai Bhajan Mandali, Sathya Sai Seva Dal, Sathya Sai Study Circle, Sathya Sai Mahila Vibhag, Sathya Sai Education Foundation: though all these are so many limbs, the chief basis of all of them is Sathya Sai. Keeping this goal, whatever we do, it reaches Satya alone. We must set all our fellow human beings on the sacred path. The stork eats a few fish with its straight beak and feeds only its own stomach. It takes its own stomach for Kailāsa. We must not become like storks. We must develop the wide feeling that along with us there are many more living beings. We must try to share this sacred prasāda that we have enjoyed with everyone.
Today everyone is drawn to the learning of human values called education in human values. The reason is only that these values are missing. The whole world is filled with fear and panic. Our Principal Narendra said: today very dangerous machines are coming up all over the world. Bombs are coming up. Star wars are all coming up. At such a terrible time this is very much needed, he said. These bombs outside are not hurting us so much.
