In plain words
Akṣaya is nothing but akṣaya
If iron breaks, twice, three times the smith can heat it and join it; if the mind breaks, can it then be joined?
So in this year we must try to speak softly, without causing any kind of pain to anyone. Compared with Raktākṣi and Krodhana, Akṣaya will, as far as it can, bring only good. Even after Krodhana has passed, its influence will be seen in Akṣaya to some extent. If a fan is turning at great speed, it does not stop the moment it is switched off. So it goes on turning and turning, and takes some time to stop. Just so, the influence of Raktākṣi falls to some extent on Krodhana, and that of Krodhana on Akṣaya. Both Caitra and Vaiśākha we must pass through with care. Once both are past, there is nothing but akṣaya for Akṣaya! If we develop akṣaya within ourselves, whatever year, whatever month comes, we need not fear it. With the hope that we fill our inmost being with thoughts of akṣaya and make our feelings fruitful through divine conduct, and that from this sacred year named Akṣaya we develop good thoughts and sacred feelings, and with My blessing, I bring My talk to a close. Every person, whatever else, must without fail wish for the welfare of the world. Each must pray for it. We must move out of narrow feelings into broad ones. Not one's own welfare but the welfare of the world must be the basis. Keep up nāmasmaraṇa at every moment you have the chance.
