In plain words

Through that, weakness of the nerves sets in. From this weakness of the nerves many worries arise. Tensions over things small and big, and through them diseases like blood pressure and diabetes, come. Not only these diseases: the head too is damaged. At times the blood cells inside the head burst and a haemorrhage comes as well. So harm comes from these thoughts.

So checking evil thoughts as far as we can: this is the true human value. This is the true value of being human. We must try to cultivate this very thing. Along with this, only when our education and our conduct go in keeping with our thoughts will our life be a peaceful life. We must not believe that we shall enjoy an ideal life merely by studying. How many people there are who have studied! There are great scientists all over the world. There are great scholars everywhere. There are scholars and ṛṣis like Vālmīki and Vyāsa. You can increase your fortune. Both of these are made by man's thoughts, so keep your thoughts as right thoughts. We must enquire every moment into the force of our thoughts. When any single thought comes, you must not at once go into action. Consider whether it is good or bad. Will this bring me a good name or a bad name? Will it nourish my fame and standing, or cut it off? Will it help me to live as a human being in society, or will it harm me? Asking yourself questions like these: chī!
