Passage 11

In plain words

Dhairyaṃ sarvasādhakam.

Yesterday I told you of our threefold character. Purity, patience, courage. When we achieve these, we can achieve anything at all. Patience of this kind is lacking only in one who has no purity. Courage falls short only in one who has no patience. When this courage is lacking, he becomes utterly weak. Not only does he go bad himself, he spoils his surroundings too. Such a life is no human life at all. So we must improve ourselves and make a fitting effort to improve others. On a path of this kind, once we believe in the divinity that is oneness, it does not matter if we lose everything; God alone we must never lose. Hoping that you will develop such eternal, true faith, and blessing you, I bring My discourse to a close.
