In plain words

When he reaches 30 years, 35 years, we call him a man. But when he reaches 75 years 80 years, we call him a grand father. Though the person is one, many changes come about through the stages, through names and forms. These are the jāgrat, svapna, suṣupti and turīya states. These three kinds of principle are seen in our very eyes.

Speech, the mind, prāṇa. Speech is radiant. The mind, being made of food, is black. Speech is red. Prāṇa is white. That same is red at the corner of our eyes. The ball in the middle is black. What lies round it is white. That is why we can see the shapes of these three in our own eye. Dwelling in our very sight, the Paramātma shows us everything. Right there in it we are able to see our own reflection. So when we make one the jīva-principle, which is the reflection, and the nature of the eye, which is the original image, that itself is the principle of the Ātma. For the principle of the Ātma we need not search somewhere far off. We need not read great big books. We must make firm the faith that without the Ātma itself we ourselves are not.

This is what we tell ourselves now and then. The one you think you are. Because you look with the outer sight, with the outward-facing waking sight: The one you think you are. When we bring the sight somewhat inward: The one others think you are. When we set these two aside and send our sight still deeper, to some extent: The one you really are; that is the Ātma-sight. Do not look at the body. Do not look at the mind. Look at your Ātma. The very Ātma that is in you is in all. If you recognise this principle of the Ātma everywhere, there is no room left at all for these attachments and hatreds. Only then, through the oneness of these four we long for, Satya in speech, Dharma in conduct, Śānti in the mind and the principle of Prema, does Praśānti come to us in every way. That is Ahiṃsā. So when we first recognise this truth, it becomes possible to tell it to others as well.

The teachers who have entered into this came from thirty countries. France, Australia, Nepal, Russia, South Africa: among these, in some kinds of doubts, they wrote notes and sent them to Swami to clear these doubts. That in our Russia it is somewhat difficult to carry on this kind of spreading and teaching.
