In plain words

And that in Australia, as it is beset with many kinds of unrest, how are we to develop these human values there as well: some such doubts came to them. My view is this: Russia, China, Australia, Germany, Japan, Italy, whatever the country, all belong to the human race. So it is most needful that every person recognise this humanness. But in the outer world some kinds of obstacle do come in the way. Now take Australia. In Australia, the English language, that is, history and geography, the matter in these is all full of excitement. All the text books, to put it plainly, are full of Violence. When they are like that in their studies, it is somewhat hard at first for us to bring this peaceful atmosphere into it. Their hearts are all simply anger and a kind of unrest. Over everything there is too much excitement.

So, at this time, it is good for us, the devotees alone, to go on developing these human values gradually, with no link at all with the government, in Bal Vikas or in groups of devotees. So first, in Russia, in South Africa, in France, in Australia, without forming ties with the government now, it is most needful to develop these close ties with our own organisations alone, start Bal Vikas and spread it through that. That is very good. Gradually they themselves will recognise its truth and they themselves will come to desire it. They suppose that Sathya Sai Education in Human Values is perhaps an organisation begun specially in India. So until they gradually come to understand it, it is best to develop it to some extent through our organisations alone. The teachers who came from Nepal all questioned Swami in doubt whether the Nepal government would give fitting room for Human values of this kind or not. And some: how are we to teach little children? ‘In what way are we to give them these feelings, true Satya, Śānti, Prema, Ahiṃsā?’ they wrote in their doubt.

Above all, teachers must first try to put this Satya into their own practice.
