In plain words
Each is like a chariot. But the driver must stand as one alone. He is the embodiment of the Ātma. Taking the bodies as cars, we must try today to strengthen still more the faith that God alone is the charioteer in them. In difference there is no progress at all. Ekovasi sarvabhūtāntarātma. What is, is the One alone, in all beings: recognise this principle and, from today at least, set about the chief sādhanas that bring some change in our conduct and in our Bhakti. Grow in friendship. Whatever differences of opinion there may be between one and another, you must strive to set them right. If the Ahaṅkāra in us is rooted out, everything will adjust. Things can be set right.
So today we must think of ourselves as having offered up Ajñāna as an oblation. We must believe that we have offered it up. We must grow a heart of Prema. We must offer it the heart that is like stone, made pure, made good. So we came to some gathering; we took part in the Dasara festival. We heard the discourses. We came home. Our discourses must not be made useless with only that much. Put into practice at least the one or two words that are spoken, and make your life blessed.
